    It has been called many things over the years – CCD, Sunday School, Religious Education.  Today, we feel that Faith Formation is more appropriate.  Your children are starting a life-long faith journey, building a relationship with God, and living a life formed in the image of Christ.

    When your child was baptized, you committed to helping your child grow in the Catholic faith.  As parents, you are the primary educators of your children and their best teachers.  At baptism, your children became a part of the Catholic community.  Attending Sunday worship weekly, listening to the liturgies and partaking in the Eucharist helps our families live a life of faith in the Catholic Community.

    Our Faith Formation program supplements and complements the spiritual and religious formation that is ongoing in the homes of our families. The teachers at St. Francis of Assisi and St. Joseph Parishes are dedicated to supplement your helping your children grow in faith.

    Faith Formation is more than reading facts in a book and taking the unit test.  It’s about:
    • Fostering our faith in Jesus Christ;
    • Building our Catholic Christian faith community;
    • Encouraging active participation in the liturgy and sacraments;
    • Motivating students to apostolic service;
    • Educating children in religious literacy

    We are happy and blessed that you have chosen St. Joseph - St. Francis of Assisi Parish as your Catholic Community to celebrate Mass, as well as other Sacraments, as a family, actively participating and praying together, forming your faith in Christ.
