Parish Pastoral Council
Patrick Brookhouser Susan Campbell Richard Grant Donna Lee Nadia Purifory Lee Wright The Parish Pastoral Council is the primary advisory body to the Pastor. Pastoral Council members assist in fostering a sense of unity and community in the parish. The Council reviews programs and events, and offers assistance and suggestions on current programs, possible new programs and potential future events. The Council is also interested in the overall financial health of the parish and reviews the annual budget after it has been approved by the Pastor and periodically reviews the financial activity during the year. Membership is by appointment and the length of term is normally three years. Parishioners may contact any of the members of the Council with questions, comments, or suggestions. John Amerena Gina DeSalvo Steve Napier Richard Toomey The Parish Finance Council is an advisory board, which recommends approval of the parish budget to the Pastor and reviews financial progress during the year. Members also give advice regarding facility improvements, major maintenance projects, and other significant planned or potential substantial expense or revenue projects. Membership is by appointment. Liturgy Committe
Betty Guerra Rose Lambias Phyllis Patten Tony Tieuli Lee Wright The Liturgy Committee meets monthly from August through June to assist in the preparation of parish liturgies and to create a worthy and prayerful atmosphere in the church for Masses, consistent with an understanding of our Church’s rituals and traditions. It is comprised of one of the priests, the music director, pastoral ministry manager and volunteers. One member of the committee acts as the coordinator for art and environment. Meetings last approximately an hour and follow an agenda prepared by the chairperson. Members are asked to attend monthly meetings throughout the season, as well as to assist in preparing the church for special liturgies (Christmas, Easter, etc.), and to assist in preparing for receptions following special liturgies/events. Meetings are one afternoon per month (usually Friday) from 1-2pm. Schedule for special events is established as needed at meetings. Periodically members of the committee are given the opportunity to attend workshops and special liturgy training sessions which are offered in the area. Amy Lonergan Richard Toomey Sheila Yee Greg Zammutto Saint Joseph School Board is an advisory group that recommends approval of the school budgets and the establishment of tuition rates and other charges for the school and the pre-school program to the Pastor and the Principal. Members also review financial progress during the year and monitor the collection of tuition and fees. Membership is by appointment. Please visit the website of St. Joseph School. |
