Cursillo
Mary, Queen of Peace Parish is blessed to have an active Cursillo community, where members can meet Jesus in a deep, loving, and personal way.
Cursillo is a three day/three night ecclesial program, similar to a retreat, which aspires to foster Christian Community and the proclamation of the Gospel in homes, neighborhoods, work places, and other situations where people live the better part of their lives. Cursillo in supported and encouraged in every diocese in the United States. For more information on the Cursillo community at Mary, Queen of Peace Parish, contact Richard Grant (781-391-4624). In our region, Cursillos are conducted at the following locations: |
“I find in Cursillo all that Christ meant for his Church to be; an outpouring of love, grace, renewal, and friendship. It has been a milestone in my faith journey. Don’t pass this up; it is Living Water.”
- 2001 Participant “For me Cursillo was a time of spiritual renewal. I think the weekend is for everyone; it doesn’t matter where you are on your journey of faith.” - 2002 Participant |
"The Cursillo method aims at helping to transform, in a Christian way, the environments where people live and work through the involvement of 'new men and women' who have become such from their encounter with Christ. This is a goal of the three day 'little course' on Christianity; in which a team of priests and lay people, supported by the prayers and sacrifices of the movement’s other members, communicated the fundamental truths of the Christian faith in an especially 'living way.'"
Pope John II, July 29, 2000
